FAQ'S
Waypoint Crew is open to anyone aged 18+. We’re an inclusive, mixed-gender community with members ranging mainly from their 20s to 40s.
Waypoint Crew is London’s close-knit adventure community for like-minded legends in their 20s–40s. We’re about big hikes, belly laughs, post-walk pints, and pushing yourself a little further each time. It’s all about real friendships, unforgettable weekends, challenging yourself, and saying yes to more life. Above all, we’re here for better physical and mental health - and even better memories.
Absolutely! Waypoint Crew welcomes beginners, but our community thrives on adventure and challenge. Even our “easy” hikes start around 10 km, and each event is graded so you can pick the level that suits you.
If you love the outdoors and are ready to push yourself, you’ll fit right in. We’re not your typical London park-walk group - we’re for people who want to explore new places, embrace challenges, and share epic adventures with a friendly, supportive crew.
Of course! You don’t need to know anyone to join a Waypoint Crew event. Most of our members started out solo, and our community is known for being incredibly friendly, inclusive, and welcoming. Making friends in London can be tough as an adult, but on a Waypoint event, you’ll quickly feel part of the crew.
We’re a super sociable community - we always finish hikes at a pub or brewery, so even if you didn’t get a chance to chat with everyone on the trail, there’s always time to catch up. Plus, we organise regular free socials in London, giving you even more opportunities to meet like-minded people and make lasting friendships.
To book a Waypoint Crew event, visit our Adventures page and select the trip you’d like to join.
Most of our day hikes can be booked directly through Eventbrite. For weekend trips, international adventures, and activities run in collaboration with third-party providers, the booking process may differ slightly, but all the instructions will be clearly listed on the Adventures page, making it easy to find and secure the right trip for you.
Absolutely! For most events, including day hikes, weekend trips, and international adventures, we create WhatsApp groups so attendees can connect, make friends, and share photos or contact details before and after the event.
Groups are usually set up at least 3 days before the event. You can also join the Waypoint Crew WhatsApp community to be notified whenever a new group is created for a specific event. Joining is optional, but it’s a great way to stay in touch with fellow crew members - after all, meeting new people and building friendships is what we’re all here for!
For UK weekend trips and international adventures, travel insurance is strongly recommended in case you fall ill or get injured. We advise arranging a policy as soon as you book your trip, either through us or your preferred provider, to cover unforeseen circumstances such as cancellation, accident, illness, injury, or loss of baggage and money. Please note that obtaining travel insurance is your responsibility, and Waypoint Crew cannot accept liability for arranging it on your behalf.
